Frequently Asked Questions About Face Painting Services

How Many Children Can Be Painted Per Hour?
The number of children we can paint depends on the complexity of the designs selected. On average, a professional face painter can paint between 12 and 15 children per hour. Smaller cheek art designs allow more guests to be painted, while full-face designs require additional time.
Pricing is simple, we charge $125 per hour for all events.

If you’re planning an event, we’d love to discuss how we can help make it memorable.

Yes. We carry professional liability insurance for the protection and peace of mind of our clients.

We use only professional cosmetic-grade face paints and glitters specifically designed for face and body art. Our products are FDA-compliant, non-toxic, and hypoallergenic. We have water-based and waterproof facepaint.

We never use craft paints, acrylic paints, or products that are not intended for use on skin.

Our products are designed for use on most skin types and are commonly used by professional face painters worldwide. While allergic reactions are rare, parents should always inform us of any known skin sensitivities or allergies before painting.
For safety reasons, we typically do not paint infants. Very young children who are unable to sit comfortably or may place painted hands in their mouths are often better suited for an arm design or temporary tattoo instead.

Cleanliness and safety are top priorities. We follow strict 4-cup sanitation procedures. Our equipment is cleaned:

  • Using clean water throughout events
  • Sanitizing brushes and tools regularly
  • Using individual sponges when appropriate
  • Maintaining a clean work area
  • Following professional hygiene standards
Face painting should always be a positive experience. We never force a child to be painted. If a child feels uncomfortable, we may suggest a design on the hand or arm instead of the face. Our goal is to create smiles and happy memories while respecting every child’s comfort level.
Children who are unable to remain reasonably still may be difficult to paint safely and successfully. We will always do our best, but the child must be willing and able to cooperate for the painting process.
Absolutely. Many clients choose a menu of smaller cheek art or quick designs to accommodate larger groups and maximize the number of guests painted within a set budget. We can create a custom design menu that fits your event size and timeline.
Book as early as possible. Many people book months in advance for big events around July 4th, Easter, Halloween, and Christmas.
Your event will not reserve a place on our calendar until we receive your $50 deposit and have all the event details. The remainder is due the day before the event. If the remainder is not paid, the event is considered canceled.
Yes. We provide all professional face painting supplies and equipment needed to perform our services. Depending on the event location, we may request a small space, table, and chairs, but we’ll discuss any requirements with you before the event.
Our event pricing is based on the contracted service time. Setup and breakdown requirements will be outlined in your agreement so there are no surprises.
Whenever our schedule allows, we are happy to extend our services. Additional time is billed at our standard event rate and is subject to artist availability.
Unfortunately, contracted event time cannot be reduced due to guest arrival delays. Your artist has reserved that time exclusively for your event and remains available throughout the scheduled booking period.
For liability, safety, and quality-control reasons, only contracted artists may provide face painting services during the event.
Most professional face paints remove easily with warm water, mild soap, and a soft washcloth. Avoid using harsh scrubbing or alcohol-based products. Some colors may require a second gentle washing.

Outdoor events are always subject to weather conditions. Please refer to your event agreement for specific cancellation and rescheduling policies.

We will do our best to work with clients to find alternative solutions whenever possible.

For large events, consider:

  • Selecting quick-design menus
  • Booking multiple artists
  • Extending event time
  • Scheduling the painter during peak attendance hours

These options help ensure the greatest number of guests can enjoy face painting.

Experience matters. Our professional artists have extensive training, practice, and event experience working with children, families, and large crowds. We are skilled at creating beautiful designs while keeping lines moving efficiently.
Absolutely. We’re proud of our work and happy to share examples from previous events.
Yes. We can provide client testimonials and references upon request so you can book with confidence.
For the best experience, we recommend scheduling face painting during the busiest portion of your event rather than immediately when guests arrive. This allows more guests to participate and helps maximize the value of your booking.
